An addition that I recently made to this site is the Digsby IM.  It’s on the bottom of the right column.

I started using Digsby on my computer as the controller for all of my IMs.  Rather than having one for MSN, another for Yahoo, another for ICQ, etc, I now use Digsby as the IM for them all - now I only need one IM program on my desktop!!  

What I found out was that Digsby also had a widget that allows the IM to be placed onto the webpage so, if I’m online, I can be contacted from the website.  I know it works, since I was spammed yesterday by some creep.  I don’t know why people continue to spam - I NEVER read or listen to a spam message in my email, website, telephone (yes, there is telephone spam - it’s called telemarketing!!), or even at my front door (salesman).  If I need something, I make a concerted effort to go out and get it.  I never ever buy anything from anyone that my wife or I didn’t make contact with first.  Anyway, I digress

Now, the Digsby Widget is not just for WP.  It can be used on any webpage where you can enter some simple html code.  WP and other CMS programs can easily allow the webmaster do this type of thing.

So, if you have several IM programs open at once on your computer, consider using Digsby - it also lets me know if I have email in my many email addresses - I even get a summary of them and can delete them from within Digsby - it’s an absolutely wonderful program!!!  And you can even enter your ‘Social Network’ sites to see if you have any updates on them also.  It works with Facebook, MySpace, and some others.  Digsby is definitely one of the best programs of its kind that I’ve ever used!!  It’s a simple program that has many uses!  And it does them all well.
